England defeated the United States 2-0 Wednesday at Wembley Stadium.

John Terry, who was named captain for the game, scored a goal for England only 1 week after missing the penalty kick that would have given Chelsea its first Champions League title.

The second goal for England was scored by Steven Gerrard in the 59th minute.

England did not look overly dominant but did enough to get the job done.
