Hand Ball Gives Inter the Win

A handball goal by Adriano in the 29th minute propelled Inter to a 2-1 victory in the Milan derby.

Stankovic added another goal in the 42nd minute which made Pato's goal for Milan in the 70th minute not enough.

Milan were playing without Kaka and certainly missed his creative and scoring touch. Further bad news came out of this game for Milan as David Beckham injured his hamstring in the game, most likely due to the fatigue from the England vs. Spain friendly on Wednesday.

Inter is now 9 points ahead of second place Juventus and look well on their way to winning yet another title.

This game was the last derby for Milan captain Paolo Maldini who will be retiring at the end of the season.
