United States Draw With Argentina

In an international friendly at Giants Stadium, the United States played to a 0-0 draw with number 1 ranked Argentina.

Both sides created chances as USA's Onyewu hit the crossbar off a header, and Tim Howard was forced to make a save on a Julio Cruz breakaway shot for Argentina.

Howard played great for the United States, making 7 saves on the night.

Lionel Messi only played the first half for Argentina and was far and away the best player on the field. He was faster then everyone else, and set up the 2 best scoring chances that Argentina had in the 1st half.

On the other end, Freddy Adu came on for the United States in the second half, and impressed me with how much he had improved, and just how well he played in general.

United States captain Landon Donovan earned his 100th cap for the United States in this game.

Drawing with the number 1 ranked team in the world has to be encouraging for the United States coming off two tough loses in a row against England and Spain.

Man of the Match- Tim Howard
